I suspect that J.E.M. is J[ack] Eustace Mills, several of whose books were published by Petty and Sons in the 1930s... He was born in Billericay, Essex in c. 1908. He married Janet Buchanan in 1930

Don't know why this came in triplicate! I can't delete the second copy! Perhaps you can, Tom!

Thanks again for that. He wasn't that old that some people in the meetings here should still remember him, assuming he stayed with the Kelly's, so i'll have to ask around.

Thank you very much Nick. The Billericay, Essex, connection begins to make sense with regard to my encounter with his works, of which I am unable to find mention on this website. He seems to have written (authored) at least seven works & one hymn as far as I am able to discern. Books/Booklets: 1. His Workmanship (1933) 2. The New Covenant (1933) 3. All Truth (1934) 4. Unity (1935) 5. New Testament Ministries (1937) 6. The Given Righteousness (????) Pamphlet(?) 1. Acts 28:28 Before And After - 15 Contrasts Hymn - 4 verses, based on Mark 6:31 “Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while:…” Tune Wareham. Might this be sung in Brethren meetings? Kind regards.

Addendum/correction to my previous contribution, above: Book/Booklet 4. Unity, was originally titled "The Unity" Pamphlet(?) - additional 2. Three Spheres Of Blessing (≤1937) It would appear that all titles were available by 1937, with the exception of 6. whose date I am unable to triangulate. Except 6., the titles were available (in 1937) from what appears to be a personal address: "Charis," Ridgeway Road, Torquay, England.
