My Dear Wigram,

I have hardly written to you & hardly heard from you since I came here, having been led to communications to others; I have only to hope even that you got my MS for the “Present Testimony”, of which I really at this moment forget the subject, I think Eph. 4 & 5, which had really interested me, or else Ps. 132. I sent one on each, one for “Girdle” or “Present Testimony”. You will kindly forward the enclosed to Granville. I am a good deal encouraged in my own heart as to the work. There is nothing immediately striking, but God seems fixing stakes for the work & strengthening & making grow what is planted. I will give some particulars now I have seen & heard of it a little. It may interest brethren. In this country there is progress, has been in my absence. In Quebec there are 17 & fresh souls coming to the light.
