December 1926: Took over the editorship of the magazine "Words of Help" from William Mason Roberts. ["The History of the Brethren" by Napoleon Noel (vol. 1, p.144)]
I think Napoleon Noel was mistaken about the editorship of Words of Help.
WM Roberts wrote a short piece about FG Burkitt entitled "The Home-Call of the Editor" in Words of Help vol.18 p.121 [1929]. In this he states: "Yet the work by which he will be best remembered will be as editor of Words of Help which he started, after much prayer and exercise, in 1911, the title of which was suggested by his devoted sister who encouraged him in every way, and who went to be with the Lord in 1927."
I'm not sure how to edit the birth data on this page. WMR also says in the same article about FGB: "Born in Tallaght, Co Dublin on the 25th July, 1854"
