just started reading books of H.A Ironside, what a blessing this man is in my walk with the Lord. I wish that I knew about him 40 years ago, but that is nonsense ofcourse. thanks for your archive. Kees

Kees, I don’t think it is “nonsense” to think that. Imagine someone 40 years from now saying the same thing; but then rather now being told of Harry Ironside and having access to and benefit from his excellent writings for the next 40 years!
What was available on the Internet 40 years ago? Who had ready access to it 40 years ago? The writings of many of the early “Brethren” have been available in print for more than a century. But who in the assemblies or churches have pointed young believers to such writings and/or made them available?
For example, “Genesis to Deuteronomy” by C.H. Mackintosh has been in print since 1880 (first as “Notes” of the different books, and then in one volume since 1972), and it is probably still available in print today. It was said that if there was one book every young believer should read, it was the “Notes on the Pentateuch” by C.H.M. Of all the writings of the “Brethren,” it was those of C.H.M. that D.L. Moody said had the greatest influence on him.
Read the Bible; study it; meditate on it. However, there are also excellent helps, some true classics. We need to point the younger generation (eg, millennials) in the right direction.
