Could be Robert Stanes, a good friend of George Muller. http://www.brethrenhistory.org/qwicsitePro/php/docsview.php?docid=413

"By One of Themselves" seems to indicate something about the authorship...

"R.S" could be the initials of anyone; not the "R.S." mentioned in this postcard:
https://www.brethrenarchive.org/manuscripts/postcards-of-william-kelly/17th-august-1893/, which seems to be "R. Saunders" from the scan of the original.

But, it's a dear sister, no doubt, and author of this delightful address. Not her initials prominent on the cover page, but discreetly appended at the end, just "R.S." It's one sister of many - "the body is not one member, but many." She hides herself, perhaps like Paul mentioned his mother at Rom 16:13 - "Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine," which I do believe was his mother as sister "R.S." mentions on page 13.

No, we don't need to know the identity of "R.S." She was a dear sister who surely was a servant and helper in Christ Jesus.
