William Henry Knox

I don't know if W.H. Knox was the one who wrote the Chief Men Bio on Theodore Brooke Jones, but useful to add him anyway. Does anyone know anything more about him? Possibly he was William Henry Knox, born 1859, who at least by 1901 was living in Ilford, and died in 1940. This is just a guess from available Ancestry records though.

All I know of him is that, in her biography of her father, Patricia St. John writes that Harold St. John and WH Knox used to have annual meetings together (for young people?). I remember that there is a picture of the two of them in that book as well.

The Believers' Magazine 51 (1941), p. 12 ("With Christ") writes: "W. H. KNOX, Seven Kings, Ilford, on 27th November, aged 81 years. A gifted expositor and loyal shepherd who will be greatly missed amongst God's people. Built South Park Chapel 35 years ago, which has now become a centre of intense Biblical ministry. He had a heart for the poor of the flock, by whom he will be greatly missed."

Don't know if it helps but I do know of a W.H. Knox who was a representative for Arizona Cotton Growers’ Association around 1920

He was evidently the developer of a good amount of the housing around the chapel - see https://www.skbera.org/history-1 and http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Qxu7a71ckOEJ:www.southparkchapel.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/SPC-100-years.pdf which includes biography. I have asked the chapel whether this PDF is available on their new website.

I think this list is missing the commentary on the book of Job.
